Glaucoma

What is glaucoma and why is it feared?

Glaucoma is the sneakiest of all eye diseases. The disease has almost no symptoms except for occasional headaches. You will experience severe symptoms only when its too late or when the eye is suffering from an accute attack of glaucoma. The pressure in the eyes also known as intraocular pressure starts increasing and fluctuating engendering damage to the optic nerve. Finally constriction in your field of vision ensues.

Hence its best to get your eyes checked once a year after you turn 40.
